We might invite you to join a virtual/IRL interview to further understand your project, discuss your project plan, and build our connection. Multiple interviews may be conducted.

Notification of Outcome

All applicants will be notified of the decision. Successful applicants will be contacted to discuss further details. Other applicants will receive feedback or be invited to reapply.

Public Announcement

Successful applications will be made public after the decision.

What is the Open Information Grant?

The Open Information Grant is an initiative to support indie developers/project teams in building innovative applications facilitating the use of Open Information.

Who is eligible to apply for this grant?

Any independent developer/team that is interested in developing applications with a focus on Open Information can apply. We encourage innovative thinkers and developers to participate.

Is there a deadline for the application submission?

No, there is no fixed deadline. Applications can be submitted at any time.

What is the application process?

Submit your application online, we will respond within 4 weeks. Following that we will arrange interviews with selected applicants. Feedback will be provided to all applicants. Successful applicants will be contacted for the next steps.

How is the grant amount determined?

The grant amount (except the baseline fund of 1,500 USDT) is not fixed and will be determined by a panel formed by the Alliance on a case-by-case basis, depending on the project's scope and needs.

Can additional grants be awarded?

Yes, based on the project's progress and impact, additional grants may be issued by the Alliance.

What are the hard requirements of the grant?

Sharing a vision of a more open and interconnected digital future, doing no harm, making your work open source.
